I’m Rob Lowe (also known as Supermundane) an artist, illustrator and writer who enjoys working with geometric shapes, lines, colours, patterns and words to create playful, multi-layered and philosophical work.

With a background in graphic design (I designed the influential magazines Anorak and Fire & Knives) and more than 25 years experience working across various aspects of the creative world, I approach projects with a sense of humour and a will to make everything I produce (no matter how small) have a bespoke and generous character. I’m interested in deeply personal work with a wide appeal, rooted in the universality of the human condition.

I’ve exhibited and have been published worldwide, including several solo shows. I often work with charities such as Comic Relief, British Red Cross and War Child and smaller, less well-known charities.

Always looking for new ways of applying my approach, my work can be seen in public spaces (such as the iconic Tooting Bec Lido and Covent Garden) and domestic applications such as rugs.

I’m interested in collaborating on projects, big and small, that fit with my playful approach and aesthetic.
